A Dedicated Piano Teacher
Ever since I realized that I have a passion for teaching, I knew I wanted to work as a professional piano teacher and accompanist. Today, my primary goal is to nurture the love of music in all my students in a supportive and friendly piano studio. For the past 25 years in both Canada and Asia, I have taught piano to students of all ages, from beginners to advanced students.

In regards to my piano background, I studied with renowned Canadian pianists Marilyn Engle and Beverly Yee. As well, I obtained my ARCT Piano Performance through The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. These experiences have taught me that no matter whom I’m teaching I must thrive to see my students grow and develop their potential musical talent, trying my best to inspire them to have a lifelong love of music.
I feel rewarded when most of my students succeed in piano exams (ABRSM & RCM) with First Class Honours and Distinction. It is especially pleasing to see the students receive recognition at the Calgary Performing Arts Festival ( Kiwanis Music Festival).

Piano Lessons
Personalized Lessons, Focus Approach

My teaching style focuses on the basic skills: learning to read music, building a foundation of music theory, and more importantly,  having fun playing the piano!  Besides, I believe in a thorough musical education including: repertoire, technique, ear training, sight reading, ensemble work ( duets, accompanying) and performance. In my supportive and friendly studio, I use a variety of methods and a flexible approach based on the needs of the student. Students' private piano lessons run weekly either 45 or 60 minute per lesson.
Semi-private piano lessons as introductory courses, In Home piano lessons and online piano lessons are also available.
Payment is due monthly on or before the first day of each month. I will go through my piano lessons policy with you during our first lesson.

Whether your goal is to play your favorite songs, to perform classical music, to pursue your RCM examinations ( The Royal Conservatory of Music) or simply to introduce your little one to piano.
